In Fond Memory of
Paul Pohlman
Senior Faculty & Adviser to the President
The Poynter Institute

It is with profound sorrow that we note the passing today, January 23, 2013, of our dear friend, Paul Pohlman,
Senior Faculty & Adviser to the President at The Poynter Institute. For over a decade, Paul welcomed hundreds
of The International Council's IVLP journalists and media to special workshops for them at the Poynter, and he
touched the lives of each of them, individually. We will miss his friendship and dedication to global journalism,
his gift for teaching, and especially, his smile...

This is the World that we brought to the Tampa Bay area in
2012!
A record 102 Countries!
The International Council wishes to extend its deep
appreciation to the Tampa Bay community, our professional resources, volunteers, Trustees and faithful interns who
work so hard to create a unique American Experience for our international visitors!

responsible for the whole world. And if young people take that kind of position, there's a lot of
hope.
In fact, it's the only hope there is."
